Megyn Kelly Destroys Anti-Trump Dude Defending Lawfare

Democrats are eager to focus on the legal battles surrounding former President Donald Trump, but what they fail to realize is that many Americans don’t see these lawsuits as the damning evidence the left wants them to be. Instead, it’s seen as yet another example of partisan attacks aimed at taking Trump down. The narrative they’re trying to push doesn’t exactly land the way they think it does.

Megyn Kelly perfectly demonstrated this sentiment during her appearance at the All-In Summit with tech entrepreneurs Chamath Palihapitiya, Jason Calacanis, David Sacks, and David Friedberg. When asked about the ongoing legal cases against Trump, Kelly delivered a response that left the audience and her co-hosts both entertained and informed. Jason Calacanis, in an apparent attempt to join the chorus of Trump detractors, inaccurately claimed that Trump had been “found guilty” in civil cases. Kelly, however, quickly set the record straight, reminding him of the difference between civil and criminal cases.

The exchange didn’t stop there. Her co-hosts ribbed Calacanis, reminding him that Kelly is a lawyer and calling out his claim of “three convictions,” which he then had to backtrack. When Calacanis pressed Kelly on whether all five cases against Trump had issues, she didn’t hesitate to confirm: “100 percent.” She didn’t just give a blanket response, though—she laid out her reasoning with precision.

Kelly dissected the cases one by one, starting with the bizarre legal changes that led to the E. Jean Carroll verdict. Then, she pointed out the absurdity of New York Attorney General Letitia James’ fraud case, where even the banks didn’t see themselves as victims. Kelly also had no problem calling out Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, who, according to her, seems to have no interest in bringing any cases—except the ones against Trump. And when it came to the Georgia case, she flagged the questionable connections between DA Fani Willis and Nathan Wade. Finally, she dismissed the classified documents case in Florida, predicting it wouldn’t hold up either.

David Sacks, enjoying the spectacle, teased Calacanis about his legal missteps, joking that he had lost the right to bring up “lawfare” ever again. The crowd loved it. Calacanis tried to recover, saying the audience didn’t come to hear his opinion, but it was too late—his attempt at attacking Trump had been thoroughly dismantled.

The reaction from the audience was telling. They were clearly on board with Kelly’s takedown, and their enthusiastic response highlighted just how out of touch Democrats are with many Americans on this issue. For the left, the legal cases against Trump might seem like a victory lap. But for a growing number of people, it’s just more noise from a system that has become increasingly weaponized against political opponents.
