The Democrats must be sweating bullets because, suddenly, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are being trotted out for interviews, though they’re still sticking to their comfort zone of friendly media outlets. The one exception was Walz’s recent appearance on “Fox News Sunday” with Shannon Bream, where he actually faced some real questions. It seems like they wanted to check the “We did Fox” box, but no way were they sending Harris. Instead, they threw Walz into the ring, and unsurprisingly, he dodged questions left and right, spinning his wheels in the usual manner. The difference this time? Bream actually pressed him on the lies.
When Walz tried to soothe the concerns of struggling Americans by claiming Kamala’s got a “middle-class agenda,” you had to laugh. Translation: Expect more of the same and don’t hold your breath for actual answers. If you’re happy with the past few years of confusion and deflection, you’ll get more of it with a Harris-Biden win. Walz then took a jab at Trump, lying through his teeth, claiming the former president wanted a 20 percent sales tax. Bream, not missing a beat, reminded him that they’ve kept Trump’s tariffs in place and even added a few of their own. The hypocrisy was glaring.
Walz really fumbled when the conversation shifted to abortion. Bream nailed him on his absurd claims, particularly on Minnesota’s law, which allows no restrictions for the full nine months. He tried to backpedal by insisting all he and Harris want is to restore Roe v. Wade. Bream didn’t let that slide either, pointing out that what he signed into law went well beyond Roe. And let’s not forget his dishonesty about Trump’s stance on abortion. His narrative was crumbling, and Bream was there to shine a spotlight on the inconsistencies.
Then came the gut punch. Bream brought up Amber Thurman, whose tragic death was tied to the abortion pill and inadequate medical care. Walz was left sputtering when asked why language about preserving life if a baby was born alive was removed from the law. His answer was classic political babble—claiming it “changed nothing,” despite the obvious implications. It’s funny how when you’re caught red-handed, you try to deflect by saying everything’s fine.
But Walz wasn’t done digging his own hole. When asked about his offensive comment about anti-Israel protesters, Walz weakly claimed he wasn’t talking about the pro-Hamas crowd. Yet, that’s exactly how he framed it in the first place. Clearly, he was pandering to the far-left radicals, and now that it’s backfired, he’s backpedaling at Olympic speed. Then Bream delivered the question that’s been on everyone’s mind: why has Walz lied so much, from his stolen valor claims to his misleading statements about IVF and his trip to China? His defense? He “misspoke.” Right, because people love a politician who hides behind that excuse every time they get caught in a lie.
Bream didn’t stop there. She destroyed his attempts to paint Harris’s border policies as strong and fair, calling out the reality: most Americans see an open border. Walz, of course, tried to spin the old narrative about needing to fix things that Trump handled better without the bloated legislation Biden and Harris are pushing. It’s no secret illegal border crossings have skyrocketed under this administration. While Trump was building 450 miles of wall, the Democrats did everything in their power to halt progress. Now, Walz and Harris want to act like they’re the ones bringing solutions, but Bream reminded him that their so-called “fixes” are just smoke and mirrors.
To top it off, Bream called out Walz for the insanity happening in Minnesota under his leadership, where illegal aliens are handed free licenses, health care, and even free college. When asked why taxpayers should foot the bill for all this, Walz denied these were Harris’s positions, but his defense was half-hearted at best. It’s obvious he thinks these freebies are just dandy. In the end, Walz’s performance was a masterclass in dodging, lying, and pandering—exactly what you’d expect from the Harris-Walz campaign.
