As the migrant crisis intensifies in major cities, Democrats are swift to deflect blame onto Texas and Governor Greg Abbott’s busing program. However, recent revelations from an investigation expose a covert initiative orchestrated by President Joe Biden, involving the clandestine transportation of hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants from Latin American airports to 43 U.S. cities. This concealed program, deliberately kept from public awareness, acknowledges at least 320,000 immigrants as “inadmissible,” surpassing previous estimates.
In the face of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) adamantly refuses to divulge information about the 43 airports receiving these immigrants after direct flights from Latin America. The administration justifies this secrecy by expressing concerns that revealing such information might embolden “bad actors” to undermine law enforcement efforts aimed at securing the U.S. border.
At the core of the investigation lies Biden’s controversial scheme, allowing illegal immigrants to exploit a cellphone scheduling app, CBP One, to gain entry to the U.S. without traversing through Mexico. Termed one of the most enigmatic and least-known programs, it has discreetly facilitated the air importation of 320,000 individuals without legal entry rights since late 2022. Leveraging legally dubious parole programs, applicants employ CBP One to seek travel authorization and temporary humanitarian release, affording them two-year periods of legal status, complete with work authorization.
Once granted authorization, these individuals purchase airfare to U.S. international airports, where CBP personnel expedite their release. The onus of covering airfare costs falls on the immigrants themselves, a cost that, despite being significant, is often considered less perilous than navigating through Mexico to reach the California, Arizona, or Texas border. This covert flight program operates in tandem with another initiative that grants CBP One users a green light into the U.S., ushering in an additional 420,000 immigrants from nearly 100 nations between May 2021 and December 2023.
