Joe Rogan Reveals Kamala’s Conditions for Podcast Appearance

During a recent podcast, Joe Rogan shared his experience trying to secure an interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, mentioning that the prospect came with a few amusing “conditions.” According to Rogan, Harris’s team made several back-and-forth arrangements, throwing out various dates and times, but always with one notable caveat: no talk about marijuana legalization. Rogan found the restriction ironic, given Harris’s record as a prosecutor. “She didn’t want to talk about marijuana legalization, which I thought was hilarious,” he remarked.

Harris’s campaign reportedly asked Rogan to travel to Washington, D.C., for a tightly timed one-hour interview. Rogan wasn’t particularly enthused by the demand. He pointed out that Harris’s past as a prosecutor saw plenty of people jailed for marijuana-related offenses—a background that has made her quiet avoidance of the topic all the more glaring.

On another podcast episode, Rogan again noted that Harris’s team had restrictions for the interview, adding with his usual frankness, “I don’t give a f—, get her in here. Whatever you want to talk about.” Yet, despite his willingness to meet her conditions, the interview never materialized. Rogan was ready to chat with Harris while she was in Texas, but it appears she was either unwilling or simply not up for a sit-down outside a pre-set script.

In sharp contrast, Rogan recently hosted President-elect Trump for a lengthy, no-holds-barred three-hour conversation, pulling in over 36 million views on YouTube. On the eve of Election Day, Rogan ended up endorsing Trump—a move unlikely to surprise listeners, given his comments on Harris’s shortcomings as a candidate. Rogan didn’t mince words, labeling her a “bad candidate” and remarking that her campaign looked “chaotic.”

Rogan’s assessment of Harris wasn’t kind; he pointed out that while she might handle a pre-rehearsed teleprompter speech well enough, she seems uncomfortable in unscripted situations. His take? Harris may have mastered reading off a script, but when it comes to genuine conversation, she’s clearly not interested—especially when the topic veers into her controversial record on marijuana prosecutions.
