Representative Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) has thrown a political grenade by introducing articles of impeachment against Vice President Kamala Harris. The charges? High crimes and misdemeanors tied to the ongoing southern border fiasco and her alleged cover-up of President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.
Remember when Biden appointed Harris as the “border czar” back in early 2021? Though she and her media cheerleaders are now trying to rewrite history, that appointment happened. Harris even went as far as to declare the border “secure” in September 2022—coincidentally, just days after the alleged murderer of Laken Riley slipped into the country. The impeachment articles pull no punches, stating, “Kamala Devi Harris has demonstrated extraordinary incompetence in the execution of her duties and responsibilities, a stark refusal to uphold the existing immigration law, and a palpable indifference to people of the United States suffering as a result of the ongoing southern border crisis.”
Ogles doesn’t mince words, either. He cites the tragic cases of Rachel Morin, who was raped and murdered by an illegal alien, along with the murders of Laken Riley and 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, as glaring examples of Harris’s failure. In stark contrast, former President Donald J. Trump is rallying voters with promises of mass deportations on a scale not seen since President Dwight Eisenhower’s era in the 1950s.
The impeachment articles also accuse Harris of misleading the American public and Congress about Biden’s health. They assert that she has “knowingly misled the people of the United States and the Congress of the United States, principally to obfuscate the physical and cognitive well-being” of Biden.
Harris, according to the articles, has a “clear moral obligation” to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Biden from office, arguing he is “no longer capable of discharging the duties of his office.”
An analysis by The National Pulse underscores the implausibility of Harris’s ignorance regarding Biden’s cognitive issues, noting she has met with Biden at least 417 times since February 2021. Given their frequent interactions, it’s hard to believe she wasn’t aware of his decline well before his abysmal debate performance against Donald Trump in June.
Ogles’s impeachment articles paint a picture of a vice president who is either deeply incompetent or willfully negligent—neither of which are qualities one wants in the second-highest office in the land. With political stakes this high, it’s no wonder the knives are out.
