Musk Flaunts 1B Views for Unfiltered Trump Interview

Elon Musk’s recent conversation with former President Donald Trump on X, formerly known as Twitter, pulled in an eye-popping 1 billion views, according to Musk. Not one to avoid stirring the pot, Musk has now invited Vice President Kamala Harris for a similar chat on his platform.

Musk didn’t waste any time bragging about the numbers: “Combined views of the conversation with @realDonaldTrump and subsequent discussion by other accounts now ~1 billion,” he posted early Tuesday. This boast followed an earlier update where Musk highlighted that Trump’s Space post garnered 73 million views during peak hours, with the overall buzz pushing total views to nearly 1 billion.

During the two-hour audio-only exchange, Trump was in rare form, tearing into what he called a disastrous immigration situation, claiming that millions have flooded into the U.S. from all over the world, including from prisons and mental institutions. He painted a bleak picture, suggesting many of these individuals could be potential terrorists. Trump also didn’t miss the chance to criticize the current administration, pointing out that despite Kamala Harris’ recent tough talk on the border crisis, she and President Biden have had plenty of time to act but have done nothing.

“She had three and a half years, and by the way, they have another five months that they can do something. But they won’t do anything. It’s all talk. She’s incompetent and he’s incompetent. And frankly, I think that she’s more incompetent than he is, and that’s saying something, because he’s not too good,” Trump said, pulling no punches.

After the interview, Musk extended an offer to Harris, saying he would be “happy to host Kamala” in the same no-holds-barred format, suggesting he’s ready to give her the same stage to either defend herself or possibly stumble in an unfiltered setting. Trump’s interview kicked off just after 8:30 p.m. Monday, following a “massive” DDoS attack on the platform that caused delays, according to Musk. Despite the hiccup, the interview reportedly drew a billion viewers.

During the discussion, Trump also addressed Biden’s recent exit from the 2024 race, describing it as a Democratic “coup” that forced him out. Biden stepped down last month amid growing concerns about his mental fitness and age, with pressure mounting from Democrats and party allies for him to bow out. “This was a coup. This was a coup of a president of the United States. He didn’t want to leave, and they said, ‘We can do it the nice way, or we can do it the hard way,'” Trump claimed.

Musk then chimed in, adding, “They just took him out back behind the shed and basically shot him,” before Trump labeled Biden as “the worst president in history.”
