States Revolt Against Biden’s Radical Student Debt Scheme!

President Joe Biden’s recent move to reallocate up to $475 billion in student debt, once again bypassing Congress, has drawn sharp criticism from conservative circles. Led by Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, a coalition of seven states has filed a federal lawsuit against Biden’s latest attempt, arguing that it violates the Constitution’s separation of powers by circumventing Congress’s authority.

Bailey emphasized that the President lacks the unilateral authority to cancel student loan debt without explicit approval from Congress. He condemned Biden’s actions as an unconstitutional attempt to burden working Americans with the debts of others merely to curry political favor. Bailey’s stance underscores the importance of upholding constitutional principles and preventing executive overreach.

The lawsuit contends that Biden’s pattern of sidestepping Congress to implement costly policies represents a troubling disregard for constitutional limitations on presidential power. It highlights Biden’s repeated efforts to impose controversial policies unilaterally, exploiting vague language in decades-old statutes to enact sweeping changes without the consent of the American people.

The Biden administration’s pursuit of loan “cancellation” for millions of borrowers has faced criticism even from within the Democratic Party, with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi acknowledging the lack of presidential authority in this matter. Despite a previous Supreme Court ruling against Biden’s attempts to reallocate debt, his administration remains undeterred, with Education Secretary Miguel Cardona boasting about finding ways to circumvent legal constraints.

Conservatives view Biden’s actions as an egregious abuse of executive authority, undermining the principles of limited government and separation of powers. By bypassing Congress and attempting to impose costly policies unilaterally, Biden risks further eroding the constitutional framework that safeguards individual liberties and prevents government overreach. The lawsuit filed by the coalition of states underscores the ongoing battle to uphold constitutional principles and restrain executive overreach in the face of partisan agendas.
